ADS-B Exchange supports search and rescue operations conducted by the Civil Air Patrol and other units across the United States through its free feeder program, which enhances local coverage in their operational areas.
Plane spotting is an engaging hobby for many; however, for the Civil Air Patrol and other search and rescue organizations, access to this data can be critical to saving lives. While we already provide this data at no cost, we aim to further support these vital missions by supplying free hardware to enhance local coverage and operational effectiveness. Additionally, we are pleased to offer technical support for both the installation of equipment and guidance on effectively using our maps and data to identify flight paths and last known positions.
If you are interested, please contact the ADS-B Exchange team through our Contact Page using an official unit email address. Be prepared to provide details about your unit and the proposed installation location.
